Regular aerobic exercise is a very good way of keeping in good physical condition and managing weight. There are many exercises that can have these benefits and it is good to have information about why rowing may be the best for you.

The main aerobic exercises are running, walking, cycling, swimming, cross country skiing and rowing, virtually all of which can be done outdoors, or indoors on machines that simulate the outdoor experience.  Of the activities listed, rowing offers unique benefits in that it uses more muscle groups working together through a larger range of motion with a force level chosen by the user.
